Englewood Lawn & Landscapes was founded in 2002 by Mike Duncan . Englewood Lawn & Landscapes has now grown to a staff of 40 plus employees with over 75 years of combined experience in the landscaping industry.
Mike Duncan – Owner/Operations/Maintenance Consultant
Mike studied horticulture at Virginia Western College and has over 40 years of extensive experience with landscape firms in Roanoke, VA and the Tri-Cities. He spent 12 years with the national lawn care company Tru Green in Kingsport and Virginia before co-founding Englewood Lawn & Landscapes. He is licensed in professional pesticide application in both Virginia and Tennessee and completed Toro University’s irrigation and lighting programs.
Ben Phillips – Landscape Designer
Ben Phillips is passionate about creating natural spaces that feel timeless and authentic. He uses native flowers, plants and stone to create dream-worthy outdoor spaces. He finds ways to blend hardscaping and landscape lighting to function with natural beauty. He is married and loves to spend his time outside, whether he is working or enjoying his personal garden. His knowledge and experience come from being a manager of an outdoor tree and shrub department at a plant nursery, where he developed a deep interest in Tennessee’s native plants and landscape flowers. He is knowledgeable about soil nutrients and how they impact plant health and growth. He researches solutions to stay knowledgeable about his passion for Landscaping. This helps him make dreams come true.
